Woodcock hunting in the Grand Lake Stream Area |
|
In the fall season of the year, the bird hunting in this area is fantastic.
We are located on the Eastern Flyway for migratory birds and we utilize all the best coverts for the American Woodcock as it stops to rest during its fall migration south to warmer climates.
Even though their numbers are quite good in this area seemingly promising coverts don't always produce birds.
Hiring a registered Maine Guide with a good knowledge of the area, that's been doing their homework prior to the season scouting for these active coverts plus the aid of a well trained pointing dog we feel is quite essential.
